The Oscars 2017: Best Dressed

Now, we might be a little late; but never the less the Academy Awards took place this time last month at the Dolby Theatre in LA. As we know this extravagant event is always a fashion spectacular, so we had to talk about the beautiful pieces that graced the red carpet. What would the Oscars be without stunning, well-dressed celebrities?

1) Karlie Kloss

Supermodel Karlie Kloss wowed in this chic white, caped dress by Stella McCartney. Her bejewelled choker and blue ACLU ribbon accessorized the gown perfectly. We are also big fans of her coral lip that bought the whole outfit together.

 2) Brie Larson

Brie looked gorgeous in this head-to-toe velvet Oscar-de-la-Renta beauty. This flamenco-inspired gown with exaggerated sweetheart neckline was the perfect sophisticated gown paired with a statement red lip.

3) Emma Stone

Actress Emma Stone sparkled at the Oscars in Givenchy Haute Couture. This Gatsby-inspired gown did all the talking, with little need for accessories. Her fiery red hair and red lip was a stand out combination.

4) Chrissy Teigen

Chrissy Teigen, wife of La-La Land star John Legend, stunned in this Zuhair Murad thigh split maxi. Chandelier style earrings and metallic heels tied the whole look together flawlessly.

5) Hailee Steinfeld

Actress Hailee Steinfeld, best known for her role in Pitch Perfect, chose a exquisite Ralph & Russi gown for the awards. This grey silk organza dress with 3D floral applique made a serious impact.

6) Taraji P. Henson

Hidden figures star  Taraji P. Henson gave us serious old Hollywood glamour  in this Alberta Ferretti navy velvet dress. The bardot style and Nirav Modi jewels gave a luxurious feel to the look.

7) Meryl Streep

Award-winning actress Meryl Streep manages to make this busy Elie Saab dress look so effortless. This deep blue embellished gown with platform heels and matching clutch is not for the faint-hearted, but Meryl carried it off so well.

8) Olivia Culpo

Olivia's Marchesa gown stunned at the Oscars. Her fringed, highly decorative silver gown paired with sleek bun was the winning combination and the bold purple eyeshadow really brought the look to life.

9) Alicia Vikander

Alicia's tiered lace Louis Vuitton dress paired with sparkling Bulgari jewels looked so dazzling and dramatic for the red carpet. The capped sleeves, relaxed up-do and tied heels gave her a cool, on-trend feel.

10) Felicity Jones

Felicity looked so precious in this exquisite Dior dress. This tulle ballet-inspired gown looked so elegant paired with Christian Louboutin heels and understated Niwaka jewels.

What do you think of our choices? Who was on your best-dressed list?
