The Low-Down from the LA Fashion Awards

New-York based fashion website The Daily Row hosted their third fashion awards in LA at the Sunset Tower Hotel on Sunday night. Not only did many A-list celebrities attend this event but some very high-profile names presented the awards from Jennifer Lopez to Kate Hudson and Nick Jonas. Now, to talk about the highlights.

Fashion Rebel Nicki Minaj

Nicki Minaj took to the stage to give her acceptance speech at the fashion awards. She stated: “We win and fail in the public eye. We all have insecurities. I want to say, shout-out to all of the kick-ass women, not only in this room, but all around the world."

She then showed a more vulnerable side stating: " People think they know what it requires. People think they can do it. Everybody wants to walk in your shoes, until you put them in your shoes.”

The "Starships" singer then thanked vogue editor, Anna Wintor, for recognising her unique style years ago.

Model Mums

Former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Yolanda Hadid, accompanied by Anwar Hadid, claimed her award as 'Mother of the Year'. Yolanda stepped on the red carpet in a black zipped front jumpsuit and metallic court shoes.

Cindy Crawford graced the red carpet with her family: husband Rande Gerber, 54, and their two kids, Presley and Kaia. Kaia, 15,  looked the mirror image of mum in a strapless floor length maroon maxi.

Not so Fergalicious..

Fergie chose a rather odd ensemble for this awards ceremony. She wore a mini mesh Dsquared2 dress that, unfortunately, did not quite work in our opinion. Her evil eye embellished wrap around sandals and very structured shoulder pads made for a strange combination- sorry Fergie!

We couldn't not mention Kim!

Aswell as being pictured alongside Nicki Minaj and Fergie, Kim stepped out in a mesh embellished gown by Givenchy Couture and nude peep toe platform heels.
