Pippa Middleton's Wedding

On Saturday Pippa Middleton, younger sister of the future queen of England Kate Middleton, married her long-time boyfriend James Matthews. It was obviously going to be an extravagant affair as many of the royal family and celebrities attended.

Ms. Middleton married former race car driver and wealthy financier James Matthews (who also happens to be former Made In Chelsea star Spencer Matthews brother). The duo married at St. Mark’s Church in Englefield, with their wedding reception at her parents' home in Buckleberry.

Amongst some of the prestigious guests were Prince William, Kate Middleton, Prince Harry and tennis star Roger Federer.

Pippa chose a high necked-lace ensemble designed by British couturier Giles Deacon. This stunning gown had a capped sleeve, featured bespoke silk-cotton lace and was hand-appliqued.

The back of the dress featured a heart-shaped cut out and train. She opted for white as opposed to the traditional ivory which gave it a more modern feel.

We have to mention Duchess Kate's choice of dress. The Duchess of Cambridge chose a blush Alexander McQueen dress with matching fascinator.

There have been mixed feelings on Kate's choice of dress. Some weren't huge fans of the 'matronly' dress and the 'dull' pink colour. However, others adored the dress naming it 'simply stunning'. Despite the mixed reviews, there is no doubt that Kate looked radiant and her children, Princess Charlotte and Prince George looked adorable all dressed up for the occasion.

Another thing to mention from the wedding day is the best-mans speech. Best-man Justin Johannes, a long-time friend of Mr Matthews, made some rather crude remarks in his speech in front of the 300 guests which left 'an awkward silence' according to reports. In this speech he made a series of references to buttock clenching, gay bars and even compared Pippa to a dog stating 'Now, to the love of James’s life. Beautiful, energetic, loyal, soft mouth, comes on command, great behind - that’s enough about James’s spaniel Rafa.' What a disaster!

Despite a few hiccups the wedding looked beautiful and will be one to remember!
